I am in love with stormy nights, every aspect of them.
Rain: The rain falls around me, tapping on every surrounding object playing a song solely for my listening ears, cleansing.
Thunder: The sound reminds me of all the "danger" of everyday life. For a moment, ignore the fact that lightning is the source of this sound. We have our fears that we live with everyday, some rational and some not. Thunder is a reminder that if we embrace our fears, love our fears, they can't hurt us. Thunder, with it's loud booming echos evokes fear in most living creatures. Once we realize that the sound itself can't hurt us, we are attracted to it. Once we embrace the sound, we fall in love. Once we embrace our fears, we learn to turn that energy into an appreciation for our lives. We fall in love.
Lightning: The flash of light, the heat, the very real danger is a reminder that some fears are rational. I choose not to focus on the danger present when such a beautiful natural event occurs. It occurs so fast, yet slow enough for us to take it in and be awe struck. Surprisingly, I never feared lightning. My attraction to lightning is equivalent to (if not stronger than) the fear most experienced at one point in their life.
Stormy nights have always been my opportunity to slow down and relax. I sit for only a moment to watch the storm, only to realize an hour or more has passed. The only time I'm not stressed about time passing without accomplishing anything is while it's storming.
Everything from this point on is going to be random and probably meaningless. Please enjoy!
I'm currently listening to T Swift. Thunderstorms, T Swift, hot coco in March (don't be hatin'), and no class in the morning......this all could have some sort of contribution to my good mood, but I can't be sure.
Mark found a comment on a youtube video that said "lame sauce." Does this person realize what they just did? They jacked my favorite saying. I just don't understand. :)
I got Rick Rolled today. Thank you Sean!
I also dropped my taco salad on my lap at lunch. I stared at it for a good thirty seconds before I made an attempt to recover it. Good thing I had my Tide-To-Go!! Saves lives I tell you. I would have been stuck with white stains on my brown pants..... moving on.
This weekend is going to be amazing. Prepare yourselves for my stories, ETA Sunday.
I bought a plane ticket for $76. Four hour layover, totally worth it!
